extremegh lives on!!!

Holy Moly!

I by chance happened to go into Google Reader for the first time in forever and noticed that I was still subscribed to my old blog extremegh.blogspot.com, which ran from 2006-2008. So I clicked on it, and lo and behold, Google Reader had cached the entire blog, even though it has been deleted. So I copied the whole thing and now I have a 5MB word file 1,000 pages long containing more than half a MILLION words. No comments of course but still pretty cool. Now what the heck should I do with this file?

Write a book. I'm being 100% serious. Take all your writings, organize it, edit it, and distill it into a coherent, ordered book. Not a collection of posts, a *book*. It would sell.

Too much work.

Delete it! :) You were happier without it. (Maybe.)

Wow, I downloaded it all with Google Reader

Could you give a status update on the MORI Movement?

Extremegh was a great blog, you expressed a lot of things a lot of other people were thinking but didn't want to write. Obviously it's up to you but since you asked our opinion: IMHO upload it to Megaupload.com and then give us the URL.

Wow. Does anyone have godolhador?

"Could you give a status update on the MORI Movement?"

LOL. I had to search for that, I had no clue. I don't remember writing any of it.

Yes, godolhador is out there too.

But I only see a few posts when I subscribe to godolhador. Where's the rest of them?

Subject it all to the latest literary criticism techniques and see if all of your blogs can be attributed to the same author.

Write a book, why not? You can sell it on Amazon as an ereader book.

I suggested a long time ago that you write a book. Might be a little different now that you've given up anonymity, but I would say 'go for it'. It will be a lot of work, yes, but the rewards for yourself and for your readers would be very great. Consider it.

Another vote for writing a book. DB did it, and you are probably less than half as lazy.

"Too much work."

As opposed to writing a half a million words? If you can do that, you can write a book.

1) Turn it into a novel or a screenplay. Either do it yourself or get a hack to do it.

2) Print it out, put it into a safe deposit box and bequeath it to your kids.

3) Stage a 24 hour reading of it a as a performance art piece.

4) Travel back in time and deliver it to young XGH. Young XGH will then be able to devote his attention to more important affairs.

But what would the book be about? How I learned to stop being delusional and start being skeptical? Zen and the art of skepticism?

Suggestion: In the future, keep a Word archive of all your posts and comments. (Easy--just copy and paste. Just make a new file every 1-2 months, so that the individual files won't get too big to be manageable.) That way, if you decide to resurrect a previously-deleted blog (nu, how many do you have? :) ), you'll have the gantze megillah (er, megillot :) ) on your own computer.
